YAHWEH SHALOM - THE LORD IS PEACE! - Pt2
Mike Prah – February 27, 2022

“God’s purpose was for the nations to seek after Him and perhaps feel their way toward Him and find Him—though He is not far from any one of us” (Acts 17:27, NLT).

“He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside peaceful streams” Psalm 23:2 (NIV/NLT)

JEHOVAH SHALOM = God my peace

Definition of Peace: "A sense of well-being that comes from ordering my life according to God's will."

Jesus: "I leave behind with you -- peace; I give you My own peace and My gift is nothing like the peace of the world.  Do not be distressed or daunted." John 14:27 (Ph)

 TO ENJOY GOD’S PEACE …

 1. I Must Accept God's Pardon

“Since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.” Romans 5:1 (NLT)

"Who is a God like You, who pardons sin and forgives. …? You …  delight to show mercy."  Micah 7:18 (NIV)

 2. I Must Recognize God's Presence

"You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!"  Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)

"The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace" Romans 8:6 (NIV)

"God is our refuge and strength, and ever-present help in trouble.  Be still and know that I am God …" Psalm 46:1,10 (NIV)

 3. I Must Obey God's Principles

“Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble. I wait for your salvation, Lord, and I follow your commands.” Psalm 119:165-116 (NIV)

“Thinking about your commands will keep me from doing some foolish thing” Psalm 119:6 (CEV).

“You must completely obey the Lord your God, and you must carefully follow all his commands … so that all these blessings will come and stay with you. You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. Your children will be blessed …You will be blessed when you come in and when you go out. The Lord will help you defeat the enemies that come to fight you. They will attack you from one direction, but they will run from you in seven directions. The Lord your God will bless you with full barns, and he will bless everything you do. He will bless the land he is giving you.” Deuteronomy 28:1-8, NCV
