The cure to stress and worry is a close relationship with God

 JEHOVAH SHALOM = God my peace

“The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, PEACE, patience kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!” Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT)

 1. I Must Accept God's Pardon

 "Since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.” Romans 5:1 (NLT)

 2. I Must Recognize & Embrace God's Presence

 "You [God] will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!"  Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)

 Jesus: “When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love …  I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!” John 15:10-11 (NLT)

“Thinking about your commands will keep me from doing some foolish thing” Psalm 119:6 (CEV).

4. I Must Trust God's Plan

 “You, Lord, give true peace to those who depend on You because they trust You.”  Isaiah 26:3 (NCV)

 "TRUST in the Lord with all your heart and LEAN NOT on your own understanding; in all your ways SUBMIT to Him, and He shall DIRECT your paths."  Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV/NKJV)

 “God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. God comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NLT)

 5. I Must Ask For God's Provision

 "Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank Him for His answers.  If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand."  Philippians 4:6-7 (LB)

 Jesus: "Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God - trust also in Me."  John 14:1 (NLT)
