THE DOORWAY TO REVIVAL & RECOVERY
FRIDAY NIGHT REVIVAL SERVICE
21 Day Fasting & Prayer (Jan 18- Feb 7, 2022)
Mike Prah – January 21, 2022

"Hezekiah son of Ahaz began to rule over Judah in the third year of King Hoshea’s reign in Israel.  He was twenty-five years old when he became king …. He did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight, just as his ancestor David had done. He removed the pagan shrines, smashed the sacred pillars, and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke up the bronze serpent that Moses had made, because the people of Israel had been offering sacrifices to it … Hezekiah trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before or after his time. He remained faithful to the Lord in everything, and he carefully obeyed all the commands the Lord had given Moses. So the Lord was with him, and Hezekiah was successful in everything he did” 2 Kings 18:1-7, NLT

 1. REVIVAL AND RECOVERY REQUIRES A TURNAROUND

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord” Acts 3:19, NIV

“King Joash did not destroy the pagan shrines, and the people still offered sacrifices and burned incense there” 2 Kings 12:3, NLT

“Hezekiah removed the pagan shrines, smashed the sacred pillars, and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke up the bronze serpent that Moses had made, because the people of Israel had been offering sacrifices to it ….”  2 Kings 18: 4, NLT

“You cannot drink from the cup at the Lord’s Table and at Satan’s table, too. You cannot eat bread both at the Lord’s Table and at Satan’s table. What? Are you tempting the Lord to be angry with you? Are you stronger than he is?” 1 Corinthians 10:21-22, LB

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” 2 Chronicles 7:14, NIV

“Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”  11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” John 8:10-11, NIV

“Afterward Jesus found him in the Temple and told him, “Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worse may happen to you” John 5:14, NLT

 2. REVIVAL AND RECOVERY REQUIRES TOTAL TRUST IN GOD!

“Hezekiah trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before or after his time” 2 Kings 18:5, NLT

"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm” Psalm 20:7-8, NIV

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart  and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and He will make your paths straight” Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV

 3. REVIVAL AND RECOVERY REQUIRES TENACITY

“Hezekiah remained faithful to the Lord in everything, and he carefully obeyed all the commands the Lord had given Moses. So the Lord was with him, and Hezekiah was successful in everything he did” Kings 18:6-7, NLT
