GO DEEPER TO GO HIGHER! – Pt1

“We all, who reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV+GN) 

“May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” Ephesians 3:19 (NLT)

“God had planned SOMETHING BETTER for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.” Hebrews 11:40 (NIV) 

God blesses those who patiently endure testing. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.” James 1:12 (NLT)

THE FOUR SEASONS OR TESTS OF A GROWING BELIEVER

(Life of Abraham - Hebrews 11:8-12, 17-19)

TEST #1: A SEASON OF A MAJOR CHANGE

 “It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing WHERE he was going.” Hebrews 11:8 (NLT)

• YOU MUST FOLLOW GOD'S LEADING WITHOUT KNOWING “WHERE”

 “Your road led through the sea … - a pathway no one knew was there!” Psalm 77:19 (NLT)

TEST #2: A SEASON OF DELAYED PROMISE

 "By faith Abraham made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the promise. For he was looking forward..." Hebrews 11:9-10 (NIV)

• YOU MUST WAIT FOR GOD'S TIMING WITHOUT KNOWING “WHEN”.

 “Let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the RIGHT TIME we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9 (NLT) 

• God uses His delays to teach us to trust Him more fully and to submit more thoroughly to His lordship over our lives. 

Jesus: “The Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world so that all nations will hear it, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14 (NLT) 

“Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.” John 13:7 (NLT)

WHEN GOD DELAYS, WE MUST TRUST HIM BY SUBMITTING OUR AGENDAS TO HIM

WHEN GOD DELAYS, WE MUST TRUST HIM TO ACCOMPLISH HIS WILL THROUGH US BY HIS POWER

WHEN GOD DELAYS, WE MUST TRUST IN HIM, NOT IN OUR CIRCUMSTANCES

WHEN GOD DELAYS, WE MUST TRUST HIM BY ALWAYS DOING RIGHT, EVEN IF WE DO NOT REACH OUR GOALS

"God's gifts and His call can never be withdrawn; He will never go back on His promises" (Romans 11:29 LB).

IN 2023: YOU WILL EXPERIENCE A SEASON OF A MAJOR CHANGE.
