UNSHAKEABLE HOPE! | 1 Peter 1 |Mike Prah | favorlife.org

 “Even a tree has more hope! If it is cut down, it will sprout again and grow new branches.” Job 14:7 (NLT)

 WE CAN HAVE DEEP-ROOTED HOPE, BECAUSE:

1. GOD HAS CHOSEN ME FOR A DIVINE PURPOSE

“You were chosen according to the purpose of God the Father and were made a holy people by His Spirit to obey Jesus Christ and be purified by His blood” 1 Peter 1:2 (GN)

 2. GOD ALWAYS TREATS ME WITH MERCY!

“All honor to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ; for it is His BOUNDLESS MERCY that God has given us the PRIVILEGE of being born again … Now we live in the HOPE of eternal life” 1 Peter 1:3 (LB)

“Let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrews 4:16 (NLT)

  3. GOD’S POWER WILL PROTECT ME

 “I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears” Psalm 34:4 (NIV)

 “God, in His mighty power, will protect you until you receive this salvation, because you are trusting him.”  1 Peter 1:5 (NLT)

 ‘Those who trust in the LORD are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever” Psalm 125:1 (NLT)

 “Surrender your heart to God, turn to Him in prayer, and give up your sins— even those you do in secret. Then you won’t be ashamed; you will be confident and fearless. Your troubles will go away like water beneath a bridge, and your darkest night will be brighter than noon.
