All-Ness of the Christian Life | Mike Prah
God blesses us when we trust and honor Him. Trust and blessings are inter-twinned. When believers know the extent of God's promised blessings for our lives, it drives our commitment to God.
Notice the fullness of blessing found in connection with the little word "all" in the following Scriptures.
1. God has blessed us with "all spiritual blessings in Christ" (Eph. 1:3-5).
"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. 4 Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure." Ephesians 1:3-5, NLT
2. He has "given us everything we need for living a godly life" (2 Peter 1:3-5)
"By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. 4 And because of His glory and excellence, He has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share His divine nature and escape the world's corruption caused by human desires. 5 In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God's promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge" 2 Peter 1:3-5, NLT
3. "God will generously provide all you need" (2 Cor. 9:8)
"God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others." 2 Corinthians 9:8, NLT
4. "All the promises of God are yea and Amen in Christ" (2 Cor. 1:20)
"For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God." 2 Corinthians 1:20, NIV
5. God desires we should be filled with "all the fullness of life and power" — (Eph. 3:19)
"May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God." Ephesians 3:19 NLT
6. "God can supply "all" our needs, according to His riches in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19)
"My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" Philippians 4:19, NIV
7. God assures us "all things" belong to us in Christ — (1 Cor. 3:21-23)
"Don't boast about following a particular human leader. For everything belongs to you— whether Paul or Apollos or Peter or the world, or life and death, or the present and the future. Everything belongs to you, and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God 1 Corinthians 3:21-23, NLT
