ATTITUDES TO ANSWERED PRAYER – Pt1

HOW TO RECEIVE ANSWERS OF YOUR PRAYERS series

Luke 1:5-20

 1. I MUST BE WILLING TO LET GOD ANSWER IN HIS OWN TIME

 “The angel said to him; ‘Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard.  Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son ...’  Zechariah asked “How can I be sure of this?  I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.”” Luke 5: 13, 18 (NIV)

 "The angel said to him, `Don't be afraid Zacharias, your prayer had been heard'" Luke 5:13 (NIV)

 WHAT DO I DO WHEN MY PRAYER IS BEING DELAYED?

 1)  You keep praying until you get the answer.

 2).  You keep praying until You get the assurance that you're going to get it.

 3).  You keep praying until God reveals to you that it's not His will. 

 “Whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it and it will be yours!” Mark 11:24 (Ph)

 2. I MUST BE WILLING TO LET GOD ANSWER IN HIS OWN WAY

 God says: “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY WAYS higher than your ways, and my thoughts [higher] than your thoughts” Isaiah 55:9 (NIV)

  “Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist” Matthew 11:11 (NIV)

   “I will throw your enemies into panic . . . I will not drive them out within a year's time; if I did, the land would become deserted, and the wild animals would be too many for you. Instead, I will drive them out little by little, until there are enough of you to take possession of the land.” Exodus 23:28-30 (GN)
