 Series Scripture:

“Truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.” John 20:30-31 (NKJV)

 1. We Must Always Live By   To Experience God’s Glory

“Lazarus was sick. So the two sisters sent a message to Jesus telling Him, “Lord, your dear friend is very sick.” But when Jesus heard about it He said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.” John 11:2b-4 (NLT)

“Roll the stone aside,” Jesus told them. But Martha protested, “Lord, he has been dead for four days. The smell will be terrible.” Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” John 11:39-40 (NLT)

“Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.” John 11:32 (NKJV)

“Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You. Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” John 11:21-24 (NKJV)

“Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 (NLT)

“Yes, Lord,” Martha told him. “I have always believed you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who has come into the world from God.” John 11:27 (NLT)

“I will not die but live and will proclaim what the Lord has done.” Psalm 118:17 (NIV)

“Call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.” Psalm 50:15 (NLT)

 2. We Are Delivered By the Power of

“Jesus shuted, “Lazarus, come out!” And the dead man came out …” John 11:43-44a (NLT)

Jesus: “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow Me. They will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” John 10: 27, 5, 28 (NIV)

Jesus: “I assure you that the time is coming, indeed it’s here now, when the dead will hear my voice—the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live.” John 5:25 (NLT)

 3. We Must Put Off the Grave Clothes and Put On

“Then Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come out!” And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound in graveclothes, his face wrapped in a headcloth. Jesus told them, “Unwrap him and let him go!” John 11:43-44 (NLT)

“You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of … your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature and be continually renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like Him.” Colossians 3:7-10 (NLT/GW)

4 We Must Fellowship With Christ

“Six days before the Passover celebration began, Jesus arrived in Bethany, the home of Lazarus—the man he had raised from the dead. A dinner was prepared in Jesus’ honor. Martha served, and Lazarus was among those who ate with Jesus.” John 12:1-2 (NLT)

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” Revelations 3:20 (NLT)
