WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LIVE BY FAITH

Jesus: “This is the only work God wants from you: BELIEVE in the One He has sent.” John 6:29 (NLT)

 “For the gospel reveals how God puts people right with Himself: it is through faith from beginning to end. As the scripture says, “The person who is put right with God shall live through faith.” Romans 1:17 (GN+margin)

  “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)

 FAITH IS SEEING FROM GOD'S POINT OF VIEW

 “What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen and to be certain of things we do not yet see.” Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)

 “What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.” Hebrews 11:1 (LB)

 “My prayer is that light will flood your hearts and that you will understand the hope that was given to you when God chose you. Then you will discover the glorious blessings that will be yours together with all of God’s people.” Ephesians 1:18 (CEV)

 WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE SEE WITH EYES OF FAITH?

 1. FAITH SHRINKS MY PROBLEMS

 Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” Genesis 18:14 (NLT)            

 “For with God nothing will be impossible  Luke 1:37 (NKJV) 

2. FAITH OPENS THE DOOR FOR A MIRACLE

 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:22-24 (NIV)

 "Because the people did not have any faith, Jesus did not work many miracles there.” Matthew 13:58 (CEV)

 3. FAITH MOVES GOD TO ACT ON MY BEHALF

 “Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?” “Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.” Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.” Then their eyes were opened, and they could see!” Matthew 9:28-30 (NLT)

 4. FAITH UNLOCKS ALL THE PROMISES OF GOD

   “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” 2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV)

 5. FAITH GIVES ME POWER TO HOLD ON IN TOUGH TIMES        

“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we’re not crushed and broken. We’re perplexed, but we don’t give up and quit. We’re attacked but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up and keep going!” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT)

 “I think you ought to know, dear brothers, about the hard time we went through in Asia. We were really crushed and overwhelmed, and feared we would never live through it. We felt we were doomed to die and saw how powerless we were to help ourselves; But that was good, for then we put everything into the hands of God, who alone could save us, for he can even raise the dead. And he did help us and saved us from a terrible death; yes, and we expect him to do it again and again.” 2 Corinthians 1:8-10, LB
