REASONS FOR UNSHAKABLE JOY – Pt1

“The kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and JOY in the Holy Spirit.”  Romans14:17 (NIV)

  Paul: “I will continue with you so that you will grow and experience the JOY of your faith.” Philippians 1:25 (NLT96)

  “Always be full of JOY in the Lord.  I say it again—rejoice!” Philippians 4:4 (NLT)

 REASONS FOR UNSHAKABLE JOY - Romans 8

 IF I’M IN CHRIST…

 1. GOD HAS COMPLETELY FORGIVEN ME

 "There is now no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” Romans  8:1 (NIV)

  “My heart finds JOY in your salvation.”  Psalm 13:5 (GW)

 2. GOD HAS GIVEN ME ETERNAL LIFE

 “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.  So just as he raised Christ from the dead, he will give life to your mortal body by this same Spirit!” Romans 8:11 (NLT)

“For God knew his people in advance, and He chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn with many brothers and sisters.” Romans 8:29 (NLT)

 3. GOD IS WORKING ALL THINGS FOR MY GOOD

 “We know that in ALL things God works for the good of those who love Him, who’ve been called according to His purpose.”  Romans 8:28 (NIV)

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the JOY set before him endured the cross...”  Hebrews 12:2 (NIV)

“As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find JOY in your commands.”  Psalm 119:143 (NLT)

“You will fill me with JOY in your presence.”  Psalm 16:11 (NIV)

 “God’s glorious power will make you patient and strong enough to endure anything, and you will be truly happy.” Colossians 1:11 (CEV)
