YEARNING FOR GOD’S DREAMS/PLANS FOR YOUR FUTURE

TRUSTING GOD TO OPEN DOORS series – Pt 2

“God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us to do good works, which God planned in advance for us to live our lives doing.” Ephesians 2:10 (NCV)

 "I want us to help each other with the faith we have, your faith will help me and my faith will help you."  Romans 1:12 (NCV)

 I. WHAT IS A DREAM?

A. Dream: A dream can be the thoughts and images you have while sleeping.

 "A dream comes when there are many cares. For a dream comes through much activity" (Ecclesiastes 5:3 NIV/NKJV)

 B. Dream: The desires, ambitions you have while you're awake that keeps coming back to you.

 C. Dream: The goals and plans that God created you to fulfill.

 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) 

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to fulfill His good purpose” (Philippians 2:13 NLT/NIV) 

II. 3 TRUTHS ABOUT GOD’S DREAMS/PLANS 

• God’s Dreams/Plans For Your Life Is Far   And More   Than Your Dream.

  “God can do anything -- far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request or dream in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working gently within us.”  Ephesians 3:20 (MSG)

•  When You Follow God’s Dream/Plans, He   The Circumstances To Make It Happen

 God: “I will bless you with a future filled with hope--a future of success, not of suffering.” Jeremiah 29:11 (CEV)

 "I have put an open door before you, which no one can close." Revelation 3:8 (NCV) 

• I Have To Have the   To Walk Through God’s Open Door.

 “Be strong and very COURAGEOUS. Be careful to OBEY all the law my servant Moses gave you … Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for I, the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-9 (NIV/GN)

 III. REASONS I MUST PURSUE GOD’S DREAM FOR MY LIFE!

 1. EVERYTHING STARTS WITH A  

“I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can see something of the future that God has called you to share!” Ephesians 1:18 (LB)

 2. GOD’S DREAMS  WHAT GOD WANTS TO  THROUGH ME.

Joseph told Pharaoh: “God has given you two dreams to let you know what He has definitely decided to do AND that he WILL do it in your future.” Genesis 41:32 

3. GOD’S DREAMS   MY LIFE

 Jesus: “Your eye is the light for your body. If your vision is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your vision is evil, your whole life will be full of darkness.”  Matthew 6:22-23
